Overview​
Developed in association with Liminal VR - located in Abbotsford, Victoria, Australia
Delivered weekly production updates to Liminal VR CEO Damian Moratti via teleconference
Design
Collaborated with designers during the concept and prototyping phase to develop the "build your own solar system" experience​
Art
Made 3D models for the planets, rings and asteroids
Created UV and normal maps for the planets
Made HDRI sky box with a light-emitting nebula
CHALLENGE POINT
First time developing for VR
Problem​
Technical limitations of the Oculus Go
Creating the solar system was limited by the Go's 'far clip plane'
Solution
Rapid experimentation to figure out the limits of the 'far clip plane'
Outcome
The solar system became limited to five planets
